A new version of Haxe has been released!

We have a new version of OpenFL available, rolling up fixes and improvements as well vital fixes for this new Haxe release.

You can upgrade to the latest version using haxelib upgrade or lime upgrade openfl


We are especially excited about the abstract improvements in Haxe 3.1.0, and look forward to taking further advantage of the language. There is now UInt support for all platforms, which seamlessly converts between Int and UInt types. We hope to apply this same functionality to flash.Vector and other types that could benefit from this approach.

This release includes significant improvements to native rendering, as well as our Android support. However, we have stopped support OpenGL 1 and OpenGL ES 1.1 in favor of OpenGL 2+ and OpenGL ES 2. If there is a significant reason why you need older rendering support, please let us know.

We are also using automatic builds, now. Thanks to your support, we can cover cost of running the openfl.org server as well as a new server to handle Windows builds. With your continuing support, we want to continue to invest into improvements to OpenFL.

We updated our primary Linux build server from Ubuntu 10.04 to Ubuntu 12.04, in order to handle certain build tools that were incompatible with such an old version. If you are a Debian user, you may have a glibc conflict when trying to use the new releases of Lime. You may either update glibc to a newer version or you can build from the source.
